Samsung touchy F490 launches on Vodafone

As planned, Vodafone has launched the Samsung F490 - you know, that full-screen touch piece for those of you that find themselves without need of the QWERTY keyboard afforded by the F700. The virtually button-free phone offers pretty much every feature a modern mobile warrior could be looking for — save a smartphone operating system — with a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA, stereo Bluetooth, microSD slot, and that Croix interface Samsung spent a good deal of time touting when it was introduced last year.

Samsung t339 for T-Mobile: yep, it does HotSpot@Home

Thanks to a few BlackBerrys, we can keep our standard “there arent any HotSpot@Home - compatible smartphones” argument to a minimum here, but still — you’ve gotta admit that T-Mobile’s seriously going overboard with the midrange WiFi handsets. It looks like the upcoming t339 flip will be yet another, thanks to FCC documentation showing the presence of 802.11 aboard its thin, brownish shell. For what it’s worth, this could end up being the sexiest HotSpot@Home dumbphone yet (we’re not huge fans of the Katalyst’s look, we admit), but still, guys, give us an N95 or something.

Ending the awful (two) days of waiting, NetBlender’s officially presenting its latest innovation, BD Touch. Bringing together Apple’s iPhone/iPod Touch and Blu-ray’s BD-Live internet connection to potentially allow combinations like sending copies of a movie to iPhone directly from the disc menu, viewing fan created content in sync with a movie or, yes, using the iPhone as a remote control.

Today Samsung announced the world's thinnest 8 megapixel module to integrate in mobile phones. 8.5 mm thick, the module is a glimpse into how the future is shaping for Samsung cameraphones. LG to offer a Touch Web phone

LG will offer their latest LG LH2300 Touch Web phone in Korea market. It is supposed to offer unsurpassed web browsing experience. Smells like a take at the Apple iPhone's main selling point. Although the LG LH2300 is not fit for GSM networks commonly used back here in old Europe, it's a good guess that a European version might also spawn in the near future.
